That is a 1959 EB 2. For great condition, you can expect to get around $3200. But, a guitar is only worth what others are willing to pay so use the info to find what they have sold for. Great find, though!

I have a solid body Gibson guitar serial number 906279. What year was it made? Any other info?

That number matches a guitar made at the
Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA in 1959.

The serial number does not give us the exact model, but a genuine Gibson solidbody made in 59 is likely to be a Les Paul Junior or a Melodymaker. Reverb prices those around US$7000 depending on condition and finish.

If it is not a fake (there are plenty of those around) and it does look that old, you could decide to get an online professional valuation from

https://guitars.com/appraisals.

If you do, take especially good photos of both sides of the headstock and any other Gibson logos on it.

Gibson LG-O serial # 48423 stamped on back of head stock...wondering what year it is?

That serial number is listed for a guitar made at the Gibson Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA in 1962

Reverb.com estimates value (depending on finish and condition) at US$1000 - 1600.

I have a kalmazoo bass guitar with the numbers 000011 on it. Can you tell me anything about it?

Gibson reused serial numbers in different decades on different models, which makes this tricky sometimes. However the Kalamazoo is recorded as being made from 1966 till 1969, so we can say your bass was made at the Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA in 1967.

Depending on condition and originality, it would be worth about US$700-800 I think.

Hello...i have a black gibson les paul custom. Serial number 00117886. what year is it and would this be considered a black beauty? any idea of value too?

The term 'Black Beauty' has been well overused by now. It was originally the 1957 black Les Paul Custom model, but by now is any black Les Paul Custom. In addition Gibson themselves are cashing in by doing reissues, finished to look older.

So if it is a black Les Paul Custom, then yes, it is a Black Beauty, according to someone somewhere. On top of that, Gibson has reused serial numbers, in different years for different models.

If the serial number is stamped on the headstock with 'Made In USA' the guitar was made at the Kalamazoo or Nashville Plant, in 1976.

Those guitars are worth US$3000-4000 depending on condition.

Otherwise it was made at the Nashville Plant, TN, on January 11th, 2007.

Those newer reissue guitars sell for similar prices.

Gibson serial #122506 what year was it made?

This is tricky because Gibson duplicated serial numbers in different years on different models, and the serial number by itself does not give the model.

If the serial number is on the headstock, but not the place of manufacture, your guitar was made at the Kalamazoo Plant, MI, USA in 1963.

If definitely a Les Paul Classic the guitar was made at the
Nashville Plant, TN, USA in 1991 or in 2001 (see what I mean?)

If the serial number is on the headstock, along with "Made in USA", the guitar was made at the Kalamazoo Or Nashville Plant, USA in 1970, 1971 Or 1972.

Frustrating eh?

If you need to get closer than this with a professional appraisal you could try sending photos and details (plus a fee) to

https://guitars.com/appraisals

Gibson ES 150D serial number 112106 - what year was this made?

The "F a t s o" model.

If it has "Made in the USA" on the headstock, then your guitar was made at the Kalamazoo or Nashville Plant, USA in 1970, 1971 Or 1972. If it does not, your guitar was made at the Kalamazoo Plant, in 1963 or 1967

The confusion arises because Gibson duplicated its serial numbers at different times, on different models, and the number by itself does not distinguish this.

I am looking for information on a Gibson bass serial#929110 it is an eb-3

According to Gibson dating schemes your guitar was made at the
Kalamazoo Or Nashville Plant, USA in 1970, 1971 Or 1972, Production Number: 929110.

It might be short or long-scale, split-head or machine head, but you would know that.

Depending on type, rarity and condition it would be worth anywhere from US$1800 to $3000

Year of Guitar

Gibson serial numbers are unreliable in that time period, but that would be somewhere from 1970-1975. Best bet would be to call Gibson Customer Service to try to pin it down.
