I have a roland sc-545ex printer cutter. I am running windows 7 pro on a mac with parallels 9. I have installed all the up dates and the firmware is up to date. The printer prints fine and will print, laminate, put back in and cut OK. The problem is when I go to cut vinyl versa works rips the graphic and when i go to cut only, it cuts 2-3 letters of a word and stops in the same place all the time. The printer lcd panel says processing, the graphic disappears from versa works and then I have to switch off the primary power to printer. I have tried other graphics. Running in xp compatability and reinitialising versa works.

Run a cartridge cleaning process from the Printer Properties.
Or from the Lexmark program.

SOURCE: kodak 5100 will not print consistently

I am currently having the same problem with a 17" iMac Intel Core Duo.  The printer worked fine for a few months, now it will only print in black and white and sometimes in color that is extremely faded.  I have tried every troubleshooting tip in the book and still no luck.

SOURCE: Can't print from MacBook, through Time Capsule, to Lexmark x5470

turn on the printer sharing via the system preference panel on the computer that is on the system via usb.
Then on your wifi computer look for shared printers and you'll see your printer in the list under the host computer name... use that setting and it should fire up for you!
let me know how it goes...

SOURCE: Bottom of page is cut off sometimes printing from vista computer

I had same problem with Vista machine and hp c309 printer cutting off 1/2 of last line. Tried all other listed fixes and none of them worked. Eventually I found a fix that worked for me though.
1. Go to the control panel and select the printer
2. Right click and select Properties
3. Go to the Ports tab
4. Uncheck 'Bidirectional Support'
5. Click apply.

Hope this helps! It worked for me.

I am tearing my hair out trying to get any output from any of the software I have (sign cut, corel x5, easy cut, cut studio etc) from my Roland Camm1 cm 24. I can do the test cut from the cutter which...

The problem is more likely the operating system compatibility with old kit.if you are running something like 64bit windows 7 then the best solution is to have a dual operating system and install windows Xp.there may be updated drivers some where internet
wise.or you could try running in compatibility mode.
lpt and comm refer to older machines with serial port and parallel ports.if you do use USB you are better off using the rear ones as opposed to front end as they connect direct to motherboard.
if you have already tried go to the Roland site and see what support downloads can offer for system compatibility.otherwise you may find a forum via search engines with a driver.until then your machine will not communicate properly with you computer setup.also right click the executable for the software in its own folder and see if you can choose compatibility mode .best will be windows 2000 or Xp.

Cutter is skipping areas when cutting

try easy cut studio from https://www.easycutstudio.com/
I've used it to cut a variety of vinyl decals using my own Roland GX-300 cutter and other artwork. It it completely compatible with my Roland GX-300 machine and very easy to use.

Hi there.. Im working with a roland soljet sc

Bitmaps (.bmp) - are all black and white so if you can change the brightness in Canvas or Corel or ImageFolio until there are no shades and then save it as a bitmap or WMF you might be able to print it correctly.

Roland vista problem

maybe you did not install it properly.try this turn off your cutter. plug the cable to you pc. make sure your pc is on. then turn on your cutter. then windows vista will detect new hardware then continue installation make sure you point to the correct folder. then you will see in the taskbar that says installed new hardware and ready in use. please install also the software bundled with the cutter. or if it support corel draw you can start designing and make sure that you put an outline on the object. example letter "t" put an outline on letter "t" and try plotting it. maybe this will help.

I have a Roland Camm-1 CX-24 cutting machine that has a parallel connection. I have recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1720 with a Windows Vista OS. I have a USB to Parallel cable to connect the two. I have...

connect the printer and the comp. and boot up....windows should recognize the new device.
did you add the plotter to "add printers" and its driver and to the correct port?
make sure your plotter is on and loaded and function key pressed.
also some cable manufacturers supply a driver...so download one if need be.
what software are you using? is the software cutter driver set to the correct printer and port?
(by default it never is)!!
