I have a roland sc-545ex printer cutter. I am running windows 7 pro on a mac with parallels 9. I have installed all the up dates and the firmware is up to date. The printer prints fine and will print, laminate, put back in and cut OK. The problem is when I go to cut vinyl versa works rips the graphic and when i go to cut only, it cuts 2-3 letters of a word and stops in the same place all the time. The printer lcd panel says processing, the graphic disappears from versa works and then I have to switch off the primary power to printer. I have tried other graphics. Running in xp compatability and reinitialising versa works.

Run a cartridge cleaning process from the Printer Properties.
Or from the Lexmark program.

I am currently having the same problem with a 17" iMac Intel Core Duo. The printer worked fine for a few months, now it will only print in black and white and sometimes in color that is extremely faded. I have tried every troubleshooting tip in the book and still no luck.

turn on the printer sharing via the system preference panel on the computer that is on the system via usb.
Then on your wifi computer look for shared printers and you'll see your printer in the list under the host computer name... use that setting and it should fire up for you!
let me know how it goes...

I had same problem with Vista machine and hp c309 printer cutting off 1/2 of last line. Tried all other listed fixes and none of them worked. Eventually I found a fix that worked for me though.
1. Go to the control panel and select the printer
2. Right click and select Properties
3. Go to the Ports tab
4. Uncheck 'Bidirectional Support'
5. Click apply.
Hope this helps! It worked for me.
