1. Entering the simulation mode
Perform the following procedure to enter the simulation mode.

2. Canceling the simulation mode
When the clear all key is pressed, the simulation mode is cancelled.
When the interruption key is pressed, the process is interrupted and the
screen returns to the sub code entering display.

* After canceling the simulation mode, be sure to turn OFF/ON the
power and check the operation.

Note: If the machine is terminated by a jam error or paper empty during copying in the adjustment by the simulation, recopying is required.

DO NOT CONTINUE RESET AS THIS CAN CAUSE A FIRE AND RUIN A PERFECTLY GOOD DAY.

It is resettable to enter simulation so .....
Press and let down "Clear / Stop", "Start" button on the left to darken or clear, then "Stop / Clear" "U163", "Start" appears "CLE" and there you hit "Start" other time and now.

just try to reset that error enter to simulation press *, 2&8 simultaniously, * then select copier then select function then clear then error then press ok then switch the power off & on if the trouble appears again replace the dc controller board

F2 error code means your toner control sensor is open. i would check your toner cartridges and make sure they are all seated in the machine. Once you check all of them, turn off the machine, then turn back on. If it is still not cleared, try pressing the #, *, C,* keys in rapid succession, which will take you to the simulation mode.

once you are in the simulation mode, press 14 (for the main code) and press the start key. It will ask you to verify, say yes, then when it is finished, press the CA or "clear all" key which will restart your copy machine and hopefully get rid of the error message.

If the machine still has the error code, call a service technician to come and take a look at it.

Its a cause by continuous misfeeding. You better find the cause of that problem.

to cancel the code press program key(P), asterisks, clear key, program key . when the stand by for simulation code appears type 14 to cancel the trouble code.

To find out the sub code for the U2 error hold down the Start key. Below is a list of the errors:
U2-04 EEPROM serial communication error
U2-11 Counter check sum error
U2-12 Adjustment value check sum error (EEPROM)
U2-40 CRUM communication error

To clear the U2-40 error try pulling out the toner cartridge and firmly reinstalling it. If that doesn't work you must install a new toner cartridge. There is a CRUM chip on the cartridge that keeps up with how many impressions have been made with that cardridge. You cannot "refill" these cartridges without replacing the CRUM. This problem occurs frequently with remanufactured cartridges.

To clear other U2 errors you must enter simulation mode.
Perform the following procedure to enter the simulation mode.
Clear key - Interrupt key - "0" key - Interrupt key - 16 - Start key - Start key. The unit should reset.

Is that the right sequence for your model? The Sharp copiers I used to work on used either "CROP" (Clear, Reset, '0', Print) or "CPOP" (Clear, Print, '0', Print). I believe Reset and Interrupt is the same key.
