We are having problems with our zanussi da6141 dishwasher, it works on rinse hold, but when you set it to A it goes through the cycle upto point B, then gets so far round and keeps running, the knob stays in the same position for ever! Ive done a little research and brought the 56 degree thermostat, fitted it and tested it. And it still does the same. Has anyone have any ideas on what eels I can test?

If you examine the thermostat then you must check the pressure switch and timer. Could be: pressure switch stuck in a state of full (timer by level) or stuck contacts timer and timer motor is energaized and moves forward to the next cycle. You you can not exclude a mechanical failure of timer. There are so many reasons.

rather difficult to go further remotely. could be temp sensor. another place to look is at the module - have known quite frequently dry joints at the heater output. examine it carefully

SOURCE: My Zanussi dishwasher wont run a programme

Hello Paul, The first thing to try is to clean the filters at the rear pipe(s) that connect to the main water supply. It is quite common that when the water-flow is impeded, the programs may stop with flashing lights depending on the rate/amount of blockage.
So, pull out the unit and disconnect the rear pipe and give the in-line filters(s) a good going-over. Please let me know if this does the trick...
Best Regards,

Peter...

Hi, my Zanussi zdf511 doesnt seem to be adding any rinse aid on any of the rinse aid settings?

Rinse aid dispenser can receive a maximum level of 140 ml rinse agent. Consumption rinse agent could be per wash cycle of 2 to 7 ml depending on the settings.
Thus 140 ml is enough for 20-70 wash cycles, depending on the degree of adjustment.

Dishes aren't clean. i have run vingegar and CR through the cycle but dishes and glasses still have a film.

The most common cause of film left behind is a broken heating element.

The heating element is not only used during the dry cycle, but also to raise the water temp. during the main wash cycle to activate the dishwasher detergent. Fixing the heating element should "clear" this problem right up!

Hi there, always rinse the dishes immediately after use before putting them in the dishwasher. Also make sure they are not too tightly stacked, as this prevents proper cleaning.

Zanussi zdt6252 stops on 'Rinse & Hold' midway thru Wash Cycle consistently...

The problem here is being caused by Blocked Filters in the Water suppoly In line/pipe. There are two(2) filters in this line, at the water connection point and at the Washer connect point(one at each end). If these filters become blocked, then the result will be a restricted water In-Flow and hence the Rinse & Hold Status. Disconnect the Water-Supply pipe and remove the plastic filters giving them a thorough cleaning before replacing them. All will be rectified by this action. Peter...
