The phone will not pickup a call or take a charge. Took it to Radio Shack for bat replacement, If that was the Problem?, but they didn't have that type of bat. Is there a NEW phone replacement available? If so, how much? Thanks,
Ken

they sell the product and the warranty that goes with it.
It is not fit for the purpose or use when you went to use it so it is a problem that radio shack does not need so they are obliged to replace it or have it fixed even to keep good customer relations
probably not worth the effort but seek legal advice as to where you stand and get the shop to do the right thing
Of course you could always go to the social media and state the facts about the service from radio shack
Try taking the battery pack to your local radio shack store. They can usually match the original battery pack with a new, compatible one even if they no longer make the EXACT one that came with the phone. This recently happened to me with a panasonic phone bought around 2002. phone stopped charging, no longer make the phone, etc. I went down to radio shack and they fixed me up with a new battery (not exact brand/part number as original) and it worked. Hope this helps you.
Usually when a rechargable battery won't take a charge it need to be replaced. I have had good luck purchasing replacement phone batteries on ebay but you can also try a local phone store or Radio Shack. Its possible your charger is bad but it is usually a bad battery as they have a finite life where the chargers seem to work forever unless damaged by being dropped
Common problem, I've had countless charging problems with Sony-Ericsson.
Is this USB or Mains charger? Mains charger seems to be more effective. I had a problem with my K800i where it ran-out of battery completely, then when I charged it, the screen would stay white. I would have to keep it there for an hour or so, then take it off, turn it on, then charge it again and it would charge fine.
Another problem I had was with a K750i - the phone would state it was charging, but when you took it off charge, the battery would be low. I think the battery was just old in that one. A new one may have sorted it. I took it to my nearest operator store and they sent it off for repair. It took around 2 weeks and it still wasn't fixed, so I got a W810i as a kind of 'Sorry your phone sucks' free replacement.
So, how old is the phone? the battery may need replacing with new, they're around £10.
You may be able to send it off for repair.
Try a different charger from a friend or local store - just ask!
Try the method I explained for my K800i.
I took mine to Radio Shack, because of that same problem. The guy there said that the battery card was not all of the way pushed in. Also, Radio Shack had sold me a 4G memory card to go with it and he, a different guy from Radio Shack, said that that was too much. It does work with my 1G card and he said it might work with a 2G. Who knows. With the battery pushed in correctly, it might work with the 4G.
I have no book, users guide. A girl a the store accidentally cut in half when she opened the package for me. No, she did not give me a new book! Yes, I asked.
Try a simple thing, replace the phone cord that goes from the wall to the phone with a new one. That'll make sure you still have a good phone connection. Cords cheap.
You have a power transformer that plugs into the wall. See if you can find a replacement at a surplus store or Radio Shack (a different store) Take the old one with you so you can match the voltage/ampere and connector. If its new it will work fine. If its surplus, it's hit or miss.
If that does not work or you don't want to bother buy as new phone. With the constant upgrades you might find one with better features you'll like more. Who knows.
