My toshiba tv has power but pic not coming on ?

possible psu fail, if your confident post a pic of the psu- power suppy board from inside the tv

I have a toshiba 50hm67 tv and with mine the blue light would come on and I would hear sound first and then the picture would finally come on... this happend for about a month.... next the yellow and blue light would come on but the pic still wouldn't come on until it clicked off and on by itself for about 10 min this went on for about a week. All of a sudden last night the red lights by the power light started blinking. No tv now and when the tv shut off it said lamp not working.

Are you sure that the TV has external speakers? Go to the on screen sound setup menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF.

sounds like a bad flyback transformer p/n 23236492 .but you would need to know how to solder . and crt safty. no reset that i know of with that symtom.

a lot of times when a set is dropped the printed circuit board gets cracked, the only way to tell is to remove the back and printed circuit board and check; if not too badly damaged can be 'hard wired' across breaks and fixed

probably bulb.

This isn't gonna help you, but I have the same problem on my 62HM15A, think we have about the same tv, widescreen DLP,?

My TV does the same thing powers with a blining lite then powers off. First it powered on with sound no pic, then would shut down and power up again with pic and sound , now i gots a nothing just powering on and off until i shut the thing off manually.

Hey Wilt: We had the same problem, for the same model of Toshiba TV. Had it repaired yesterday. Turns out the problem was the power supply (P.C.B). The total cost was $192.66 Canadian funds (taxes and labour all in). Our model was 6 years old, buts its playing like a brand new unit now. Hope this helped ...... Good luck
