Does the onga spa master 4352 have a fuse or overload switch?

My onga spa master 4352 pump stopped working suddenly without any apparent cause. Im hoping its something simple like a blown fuse or tripped overload switch. Does this model have either? Or can you provide any troubleshooting tips I might try before I call in the repair guys?

The motor may have a thermal cutoff if the motor draws too much current. Do you have a sufficient large gauge circuit supplying the motore? If not the actual voltage at the motor may drop, causing it to draw more current to make up for the loss of voltage, thereby tripping the motor's protective breaker. I assume the motor will start again after serveral minutes of cooling down.

You shorted the 230 lines at the motor terminal board. If you are certain you have reset any and all breakers feeding the spa and that the 230V is getting back to the pump motor then you blew the winding leads as you shorted the motor. While it is possible a motor shop could repair the leads it is far more likely the damage caused will cause the price to be that or more of a replacement motor.

My aqua drive 1100 auto reset pool pump runs warm and stops after a few seconds after i switch it on then goes on after a few minutes And this continues. Why

Thermal Overload Switch: Something is creating an overload on the pump. Once it is overworked, the motor will overheat. This will be sensed by the T.O. switch. Once the switch senses that the motor has cooled, it will start again.
Reasons for overload:
  • Bearings no longer spinning freely & without restriction
  • Foreign debris in the volute, jamming against the impeller
  • Failing T.O. switch

Onga 4352 Spa Pump is leaking from the opening in the bottom of the pump. I have opened it & siliconed the Oring seal but it continues to leak. Any suggestions?

I had a new pump brought to me once that continued to leak after replacing the shaft seal three times. Careful examination revealed a sand casting fault in the pump body. The water was leaking through the body of the pump. Have you replaced the shaft seal?

Hayward RS2000 suddenly stops. Motor housing is extremely hot and has a burnt smell. Thermal overload going bad?

it sounds like there may be a short in the pump. this will cause it to overheat and trip the thermal overload. it may be time for a new pump as this is usually cheaper than fixing it

My Onga PPP1100 pool pump cuts out every 5-10 mins then restarts after 5-10 mins.

Depending on its age, it may have been fitted with the wrong thermal overload when it was manufactured. If it is relatively new go back to your supplier for a fix; if it is not new please tell us more about the problem..
