The powere cord you are using is fine (the cord is made to handle the 10A load, you are only drawing 1.5A). The monitor uses switching mode power supply that can handle any voltage INPUT between 100v up to 240v. More likely to be bad caps in the power supply. It will work, the amp rating is most important, 125v / 250v does
not matter.......note: if you blow the fuse again, the TV will
need service.................T.
