Can I set up my acer c720 without internet

Acer has the user manual for the C720 on their support page. If you start on the Acer homepage: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/home . Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Drivers and Manuals (second line in the second column "Service"). Then use the drop-down menus to select Category = Netbook, Chromebook, Series = Chromebook adn Model = C720 . Expand the Documents section then click on the Download button on the right side of the page on the User Manual line. If the powerwash button is not appearing it may be because you need to update the operating system. Please connect it to the internet and let it check for updates. If this doesn't work then go ahead and reset all Browser settings. this should cause the powerwassh button to appear.

You need to go into power settings/options and look for action settings for shut down and sleep commands.

yes, most people end up doing a powerwash several times before the wifi or wifi drop problem gets resolved on these.

but yes it can be setup without internet.

Where are you trying to set the password?

Open System 'Settings' with the menu button then 'Wi Fi', and see if have an internet connection available. If yes, select it, if not select 'scan' (making sure your modem is powered on and connected). You should then be prompted for a password - and hopefully it'll work.
