I've had 2 different stores try to fix my phone, the email won't work, I've replaced battery and sims card. The fix only works once and then emails won't down load. The phone was purchased in June of this year, how can I get a replacement phone? Two different ATT stores have been unable to fix as well as two calls to the ATT help line
Three different things, Anon...
Replacing your battery and SIM should make no difference, which is only really relevant if you used those ideas as a trial to test your fix-it stores. If they think either might make a difference, go somewhere else.
When The fix only works once, what fix was that, please?
If your phone was purchased in June of this year, why can you not invoke the warranty and demand a replacement?

most probably you have not switch on the wireless mode. make sure you have wireless mode ON. than it will ask you for network code. than you can enter the code. or also make sure you are putting sim card in correct direction.

I also have a x426 from 2003 and it wont work with the new ATT sim cards either, This is because of the Cingular/ATT merger which created a new network. The older original ATT phone must be unlocked to use a sim card from the new merged network. Try calling ATT Mobility customer service and request the subsidy unlock code. They are required to give it to you upon request, but it takes several days usually to get the code. I know because I used to work at a ATT call center.

The only thing I've found is the following...
View the text message and look for the Options button..Open Options, you should see View, Reply, Forward and so on...Scroll down to where the option reads "More"... select move to sim
