There should be ;a removable panel on the side of the tank, usually attached with 2 screws (top and bottom). Open the circuit breaker that operates the water heater, remove that cover and there is normally some insulation that comes out and a plastic cover insulating all the wire connections. The plastic cover may allow you to access the temperature adjustment or you may have to slip off the cover to get to it. Some electric units have double heat elements, in which case there are two of the panels on the side of the tank with nearly identical wiring inside and separate temperature adjustments. Reducing the water temperature setting for the tank will reduce the pressure in the tank, as higher temperatures result in greater expansion of the water in the tank.

How does a home well water system work?

Deep well.
Pressure valve located on front of above-ground-storage-tank will turn pump on-off depending on amount of water pressure inside tank.
When water is consumed inside home, the pressure valve responds to the lower pressure and closes electrical contacts... sending electricity to water well pump located deep underground.
The pump turns on and lifts water through a pipe into the above ground storage tank.
When the tank is full of water, the pressure valve senses the higher pressure and turns off electricity going to pump
Pump shuts off.
There is a one-way check valve on the water line going down to pump, and this keeps water from flowing back down into well.
The above ground tank maintains water pressure for the house.
When pressure is reduced by taking a shower, the pressure valve turns pump on again, and cycle repeats.

All taps connected to my Rinnai XR20 run only luke warm when first turned to their hottest setting. In order to get truly hot water, I need to turn the temperature lever back and forth, from hot to cold,...

Hi, try turning up your temp setting in your rinnai. Also , it may take a few seconds to get hot water if the tap is quite a way from the hwc.

Changing hot tap washer

Hi, if you have a mains pressure HWC, all you need to do is shut the cold mains off either from your cylinder cupboard or on the street. Shutting it off on the street is probably better as things like shower valves tend to pass water through and start a back feed.

I can't turn the bar pressure up on my Vaillant VCW 221 Boiler

on the pipework below there may be a silver braided hose with one or two valves on the end. turn the valve(s) so the handle is inline with the pipe this will allow water from the mains supply into the heating circuit , remember to keep an eye on the pressure gauge. fill the system to 1bar cold then shut down the valve(s). turn on the boiler and it should be ok, if you lose pressure again then you may have a leak somewhere which needs to be found.

Vaillant Mag 325 warm water only full pres. cold low pressure

you need a certain amount of water pressure for the water heater to turn on this is actaully one of the biggest problems that all manifactures forgot to tell anyone it is normal for the computer to shut down beings it is designed to heat water at a fast rate when you turn the water down, it's not enough pressure for for sensors to turn on to heat the water so turn on the spigot a little more and enjoy
