See if this helps. It worked for me, but yours may be different. You can only change humidity levels when it's not in Cont. mode.

I don't understand the timer on a Kenmore Dehumidifier

I do believe this one of those models that uses one display for both setting of humidity level and the timer , make sure you are viewing the timer function and not the humidity function , this is a very common complaint with these type as many times one sets the on time correct but then sets what they believe to be off time when they really are adjusting the humidity room level , there should be tiny lights that show function you are adjusting

Dehumidifier runs continuously and displays higher than normal humidity levels.

Probably some glitch with the sensors. I recommend taking it to a service center.

Cannot set humidity level to anything other than 50.

Is it reading the room humidity, rather than showing the set point? Check the manual.

I have a 50 series w/ digital humidity level readout. Recently unit reads the room at 30% humidity so it shuts off unless preferred setting is set to continuous. Can the sensors go bad that measure the...

If the humidity level is at or lower than 30%, the unit won't turn ON, until the reaches 35 - 40%. It's rare for the sensors to go bad. Just keep in mind, the dehumidifier is reading the humidity near the floor, not up at say, chest level. Humidity levels change every season, so this really would not be that unusual. Make sure that your clean the air intake filter regularly. Cleaning and wiping down the coolant coils would be a good idea, too..

Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

yes cycles should be longer either that or the unit is keeping close to desired humidity. Also the unit is under sized 30 pint is for 400sqft. or 20 by 20 room. humidity should be 30/50 percent check your level desired room temp is 70 degrees but its a basemnt 60 works.

Humidifier Fan Doesn't Stop

RH at 70 % seems to me a little excessive you really should be working somewhere around 50 to 56% the fan has to move Air through the system.
I would like to know your room Air temp what is the Air temp comming off the system. what are your parameters.

Kenmore 54701 (70 pint) dehumidifier stopped running

the lowest setting for % of humidity is 35% on that unit... sounds like with all the other errors that the IC board is bad (the Control circuit board behind the displays)
