Bluetooth
If you want the stock bluetooth module you will have to either call hp and buy it from their spare parts dept. or go to a site like ebay to buy it. after you have acquired the card (and cable), you will need to disassemble the laptop and install the card in it's designated spot(I think it's located near the right had corner closest to you as you look at the laptop in it's normal use orientation. The alternative to this is to get a usb bluetooth card.
SOURCE: I have HP Pavilion DV6
If your particular model of HP has the blue tooth installed from the
factory, turning on the wireless switch on the front left edge of the
laptop enables the blue tooth, as well as the wireless LAN. A blue tooth
icon should appear in your task bar near the clock when blue tooth is
turned on.
ELSE
You have to go into start, then all programs, then look for the blue tooth connection setting. Hope this helps.
Go into start, then all programs, then look for accessories, the find blue tooth wizard. You can switch it on via that.
NOTE : BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A BLUE TOOTH IN YOUR MODEL BECAUSE SOME OF THE MODELS DON'T HAVE IT.
