Batteries don't have a life forever. And no one can predict the life time of a battery.
So many factors influence the lifetime. But if it is draining very fast, this mostly means it has reached the end of life. If the camera does not get excessive hot, it has nothing to do with the camera. It is just you need a new battery.
To keep a battery in shape for a longer time you should charge it also when the camera is not used. Like at least 4 times a year. Always charge the battery a day before you plan to use it. Don't over charge, like charging it every day. Don't leave it in the bright sun or on a hot place.
A new battery, should be charged and discharged a few times, before it gets a full charge.
The "New" battery you bought, could be in stock for a long time. Special when you could buy it very cheap.
Perhaps in a few days you say, he the battery works fine now. But if you did charge it 3 or more times and it still does not hold a charge. send the battery back (I hope you bought one with warranty)

This sounds like a problem with the image sensor within the camera. I doubt camera charge will affect picture or LCD screen image quality. Such problems can occur with old camera and in most cases buying a new camera is indicated as repairs are expensive. Ask at the Casio website support.

Charging pad the remote batteries are dead, won't hold charge anymore...

Sadly that's how they make the new rechargable batteries for controllers. You are supposed to recycle that and buy new. Luckily you can find chargers for the wii very cheap nowadays. I have used a few different chargers and have found the Nyko brand ones are junk so steer clear of those. The Duracell induction chargers however work very nicely. You just set the wii remote down on the charge pad and it charges fairly quickly. My kids run around and even if the remote shifts a bit it will continue charging. Hope this helps!

Battery won't hold charge

It most likely needs a new battery, but you could try giving the battery a full charge first:

1. Power off the laptop and disconnect the power adapter.
2. Re-seat the battery (remove/reinsert)
3. Reconnect the power adapter and let it charge overnight. (6 hr+)
4. Disconnect the power adapter.
5. Power on the laptop (run under battery power only)

If it doesn't boot up and shuts down immediately, it's probably time to see about a replacement battery.

Battery will not charge

li-Ion batteries have a bad habit: whenever fully depleted, they lose a few cells, to the extent that they might not be able to hold a full charge if enough cells are damaged. In other words, repeatedly using a laptop (or any other Li-Ion powered device) to battery depletion can shorten the battery's life significantly. You might want to keep the batteries fully charged whenever possible and avoid fully depleting them too often.
There is also the habit of "re-setting" the batteries by using the "fully deplete-fully charge" procedure. It only applies to niMH or NiCD batteries ( and is used to erase the "memory effect" ) but is damaging to Li-Ion batteries for the reason mentioned above.
so if your battery can not full charge, this mean you need change a new battery for your laptop

Just bought a new drill and battery not holding a charge

Batteries sometimes get like yours, after a full charge they last only a couple minutes on the tool. It's usually because of a bad cell in the battery. The only fix is to replace the battery. If you just bought it, take it back for an exchange of the battery or whole tool kit. If the retailer you bought it from won't exchange it contact the company it came from to find out how to get the battery replaced under their warranty.

Sony vaio vgn-nr285E battery won't hold a charge

If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

The low battery light remains on after I changed the battery,

Hello
There are two possibilities for this fault. The first one is with its battery itself. If the battery did not hold current, in otherwords, it has weak, proper charge both in volts and amperes won't hold on it, and when the device draw current from it while it works, voltage drop will occur, and low voltage indication will be displayed.
The second chance is due to the charger circuit inside the radio. If charger circuit do not give proper voltage and current to battery, the battery won't charge to its full capacity.
Check it by replacing it with a new battery [batteries] first. If it helps you it's OK. If not, your radio need service, and its charger circuit must be checked well. OK.

I have a unit that is about 4 years old and appears to NOT hold a charge. I know to only charge for 3 hrs max but want to be sure my problem is the $75.00 battery before I purchase one. What is your...

Your battery is losing voltage too quick. It has probably developed a 'memory'. Dyson claims that their handheld has the best suction out of all the handhelds out there. In order to maintain that claim the circuit board will shut off power to the motor when the voltage drops below adequate charge for full suction.
We need someone who can teach us to bypass that part of the circuit so it won't cut power to the motor or you need to get a new battery.
Shorting the battery like an Aircraft battery then re-charging won't fix it.

Charging problem

Hello,

there is nothing wrong with your charger. The problem is from your battery.

The battery cell is very weak, such that it does not have the ability to with hold power for long.

Therefore, get another battery and the problem will be resolved. But make sure you charge the new battery till its full before you start using it.

Take care.

Gps wont turn on without it being connected to chargers

This means that the internal battery of the gps system is completely dead and can not hold a charge. All you will need to do is replace the battery and it should work like new. The battery is fairly cheap to buy and replace.
