To remove the hose push the lower collar on the hose down towards the unit. Then just pull the hose out. When you put the hose back in pull the collar back up to lock the hose in place.

SOURCE: rowenta commercial steamer

got this off the manual for the IS 7800

CLEANING
Remove water container and clean the main unit with a damp
cloth. To maintain maximum performance, your steamer must
be descaled occasionally. The descaling intervals will depend
on the water quality and the frequency of use. The unit should
be descaled at least once a year or every 100 hours of use.
For descaling proceed as follows:
1. Unplug the unit and remove water container from main unit
by releasing container lock and pulling up.
2. Fill it with fresh water and shake vigorously to remove any
scale. Pour out the water and repeat if necessary.
3. Purchase a quality decalcifier agent and follow the instructions
of the manufacturer for the proper ratio of the mixture
to water and use.
4. After filling the water container turn it up and down to
descale.
5. Attach reservoir to unit, plug in and switch on.
6. Let the appliance run until the water container is almost
empty and do not steam any clothing with this mixture.
7. Unplug and detach the water container. Rinse it with fresh
water.
8. Fill water container with fresh water and repeat steps 5 and 6.
Note: If after descaling you believe that there is still buildup in
the boiler, repeat steps 1-8.

My Rowenta steamer is brand new never used before. I added the water it worked for 5 minutes then stopped and now it won't steam at all

Hello, Nadya -

Check the warranty information which came with your Rowenta steamer (probably in the owner's manual / instructions. Find out what you need to do to return the steamer for a working replacement.

Best wishes.

Why do water drops form om my clothes while steaming

You have a build up of water In the hose. Sometimes happens because the hose is too low to the ground. Try stretching the hose up and tap it and the water should travel back down the hose.
Another reason could be that you are using too much steam for that particular fabric.

Rowenta 1500 garmet steamer no longer makes steam

Someone else had this fix and it worked for me: (yay!)
*Remove water tank and collapse the hanger bar.
*Remove two screws at base of hose and work the hose off. It will come out.
*Unplug unit and hold over your kitchen sink with the hose inlet pointing into the sink.
* use your kitchen sink sprayer to forcefully spray water into this hole and it will come back out again releasing the gunk that has been stopping up the unit.
* for good measure, I also used the sink sprayer to flush out the hose.
Put everything back together. And make sure it is dry before you plug it in.
VOILA!!! WORKS GOOD AS NEW. HAPPINESS!

How to open is 9050 rowenta precision valet to descale

Well this was helpful but also HELLfull! I guess because I have a 9050 !! I took out the screws & could not remove the hose it was attached with 2 clamps & a washer! I put the whole darn thing in my tub ( I have a sprayer in there) and yes tons of sand, black stuff and cloudy water came out. I had to do this 8 times with the hose attached! Awkward & a mess but it did finally come out clear. BTW I did it through the hose & the bottom hole. On the last run through, after my whole bathroom is soaked including me, the hose popped out! I was cracking up! turns out on the 9050 you simply push down on the ribbed hose covering and it releases. This IS NOT in the manual either. But I'm happy my steamer's like new again & live & learn ;o)

Rowenta Professional Iron - steam button suddenly stopped working

Have you tried descaling it? It may well be blocked up with limescale. Personally I only ever buy cheap irons and bin them when they go wrong! As you say-they are generally too expensive to repair.
