Mitsubishi WD-82837 pop noise and no power

Sounds like your bulb blew. Here is a link to a very good priced replacement bulb with housing . These are very simple to change yourself. http://www.projectorlampsworld.com/projector-manual/mitsubishi-wd-82837.html
also, here is a link to a video showing how easy it is. They are made to be replaced by the consumer.
How to replace the lamp in your Mitsubishi TV: http://youtu.be/_ONPuB5L-x4
Note, your bulb assembly may vary slightly from the one in the video, but it should come out and go in the same way.
You will need a plastic grocery bag or small garbage bag, some rubber, or latex, or clean cloth gloves, and a medium phillips screwdriver.
Good luck!

Wd-82837 status light blinking tv tries to turn on blue sreen comes on then tv shuts off.

My status light is flashing and I cannot get an indication that the TV is actually on. There is no sound. I cannot get any display whatsoever. The blue light across the bottom is not on. Thus, the TV is probably on in the 1st place. Ideas?

What is causing the lamp to keep going out on an 82" 837 Mitsubishi TV?

If a OEM Mitsubishi lamp was used you likely have a problem with the Ballast that drives or powers the lamp---the two pin socket for the lamp goes directly to the Ballast.
