Where is main fuse on washing machine? - Zanussi Washing Machines

Hi,
The fuse will be;
1. Inside the plug.?
2. Concealed in the plastic panel where the mains lead enters the machine body.?
On the inside of the machine, where the mains lead enters the machine body.?

A fuse of a device is for protection.
When there is a defect (such as shortcircuit) it causes the fuse to blow.
You will have to get the washer repaired by a repair man before reuse.
I fuse on the extension cable would normally be of lower rating than the main fuse on the washing machine line.

Main board power circuit fault.disconnect main PCB and reconnect power cable .you can identify the fault. Replace main pcb.

It could be defective main board problem

by "tripping main fuse" do you mean the high amp (eg 60 amp or 100 amp) fuse that feeds the whole fuse box? if that is the case, there is too much stuff on in your house that's drawing power. The fuse box is too small to power all the stuff you have plugged in and running. Suggest turning off other high draw appliances in the house, like large TVs or microwaves or air conditioners, when running the washing machine.

This is related to a fault in the main control panel, it is possible there is a short if the fuse keeps tripping off. You need to remove plug and pull out the panel to check for short in the power supply to the main control panel usually a SMPS unit. Use a multimeter to check for short, if so this must be replaced.

Sounds like you need to have the mains suppressor checked out by an engineer.
Someone had this happen to them as well.
I checked fuses - ok I drained detergent water -ok I checked filter and pump - ok Machine will not start. Next step - contact customer service, however under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 I am contacting the supplier as the machine is new.

Update The fault was as follows: Bosh Washing Machine WAE2446 Fault reported: DEAD Material: SUPPRESSOR Description: REPLACED FAULTY MAINS SUPPRESSOR
In a nut shell. The washing machine failed (went dead) because the mains suppressor was faulty. The suppressor normally filters out unwanted interference from the washing machine mains electrical supply. The part was replaced and the washing machine came back to life.

if it bows the mains then dont try it again!
get it checked out ASAP!

Yes. It may be an internal safety fuse or switch. RJ

Have you added anything else that is drawing juice on the same breaker?
If so try turning those off.
