Why does my ultralux 2000 canister vacuum cleaner not run at all ?
Several possible problems can cause it not to run. The cord reel often gets lint in side and fails to conduct. Carbon brushes in the motor could have worn out. One of the interlocks that keeps it from working with the bag out can be broken. You need to take this to a local vac shop.

try checking for blockages first, turn the foot of the vaccuum over and check the inlet tube, there may be a little flap that needs to be pulled forward for you to see if there is a blockage.
