How to insert the code for the radio of my golf3 /1996

ENTERING SECURITY CODE

Most vehicles are equipped with Heidelberg V or VI radios that are equipped with a theft protection program. When the battery has been is disconnected or if the radio has been removed, the radio will lock-up electronically and cannot be operated until the security code is entered. On the Heidelberg V, if the proper code is not entered in six attempts, the radio will lock-up permanently and cannot be repaired. On the Heidelberg VI, two incorrect attempts will lock the radio for about 1 hour.
The Heidelberg V may have a code assigned at the factory or a personal code created by the owner. The Hiedelberg VI has a code assigned at the factory and entered by the dealer during pre-delivery inspection. New radios come with the code printed on a sticker but not entered into memory. All codes are 4 digits. To code the radio:
Heidelberg V

  1. Turn the radio ON . The radio should display the word SAF. DO NOT attempt to eject a cassette with the radio in this mode.
  2. Push the AM/FM and SCAN buttons at the same time and hold them until the display changes, then release them immediately. The number 1000 will appear for about 3 seconds, then the display will go blank. Release the buttons then.

NOTE If the buttons are held too long, the radio will interpret this as an attempt to enter an incorrect code.
  1. Use the first four station selector buttons to enter the code. The first digit of the code is always 1. Each time the other buttons are pushed, the number in that position will change.
  2. When the code appears correctly in the display, push the AM/FM and SCAN buttons at the same time. When the radio plays and displays a frequency, release the buttons.
  3. If the code was entered incorrectly three times, momentarily disconnect the battery and try again. If the code is entered incorrectly three more times, the radio cannot be coded and cannot be repaired.

  2. Push the AM/FM and SCAN buttons at the same time and hold them until the display changes, then release them immediately. The number 1000 will appear and remain in the display.

Scan to e-mail

Hello
To be able to scan to email, your machine must have the correct hardware.
The following addon board and kits must be fitted:
1 Network Printer Kit [In South Africa we use the GA 1190]
2 Scanner Upgrade Kit [In South Africa we use the GA 1200]
3 Extended Keyboard [In South Africa we use the GJ 1040]
Once the hardware is fitted to the machine there are a few more steps to follow:
1 The machine must be connected to the network. [network must be on the internet]
2 An IP address, Subnet Mask and the Default gate way must be entered in the machine.
3 The DNS server must be entered through your internet browser.
4 The SMTP address must be entered through your internet browser.
5 The SMTP client must be entered with a valid email address through your internet browser.
6 The email section must be setup in the internet browser.
That should do it for you.

I have entered a few frequencies into my scanner and now i am trying to get them to scan. I press the scan button and it will scan a channel one at a time, but i would liek for it to scan all the...

Your BC72XLT SCAN feature samples one frequency/channel at a time, but it should only stop on active frequencies. If it's stopping on inactive frequencies you may need to adjust the squelch. For more details on programming and operating your scanner you can download and print the factory manual, at no cost, here:

The scanners won't scan information after being programmed

I would scan default barcode again. If you are using PS2 connectors. Scan barcode for PS2 keyboard. And USB for USB connectors. Most likely it is not seeing the device. Or treating as a keyboard as it should.
