try looking into the Timer section on the TV. also on Dish if it is left unattended (like stay on same channel etc) it will go in to sleep mode, U then just hit the Select button.. U can go in the Dish menu and set the Sleep mode (inactivate mode ) to a longer time, I usually set my for 8 hours.
vision box always play up thats why i changed to sky. in one year on vision i had 5 new boxes. there seam to be a problem with the services system I.e there is a out put file so BT know what you are watching , now this system has a flaw in it. were by it thinks the system needs rebooting as it has had an update or not. as midnight it the service time for updates it will reboot at this time. now for itv3+ this is down to itv its self. its listing time don't match it signal turn off time. itv put programs on this channel not thinking of the time that has been set to turn off the station to freeview. hope this helps you.
Logged in as an administrator, look under Start --> Program Files --> HP Product Assistant
Click on Preferences. Disable all four options from basic as well as the advanced tab. If that doesn't work (after a reboot), try using msconfig. (Start --> Run... msconfig) and unchecking things by HP that look like they might be the offending program. Uncheck one at a time and reboot to see if that does the trick. Good luck.
Download a program called dban. http://www.dban.org/download and mount it on a disc with another computer. Place the disk in your computer and reboot. While loading look for the boot menu option and push the button. If you missed it reboot again. When the boot menu comes up select cd-rom drive or dvd-rom drive. The program should start up. Follow the directions on the screen by typing in autonuke. The program might run for a long time(probably overnight). After it is complete. Reboot you computer, take out the disc and reboot with your original XP Pro disc. Hope this helps.
Install, then reboot your computer. Make sure when you install, you are signed in as the administrator (that you have rights to install programs...). Once you log back into Windows, go to add remove programs and uninstall Google earth. Reboot again.. Make sure you are not receiving the error. If not, try installing again. The problem seems to be that the dll in question is not registering with the system properly.
I ended up calling Motorola who suggested I unplug the power cord from the machine for 10-30 minutes. When I powered back up, I had to give the machine time to reboot but after about 10 minutes with power on I was able to access my recorded shows.
It may need warmer clother, lol, JUST kidding. You may need to enter the dos environment and safe boot. Try this, it may work for you. What I’m going to suggest is entering the DOS environment and making necessary changes to get your pc up and running.
- Reboot> At reboot watch for DOS screen option “enter setup” via a F button option. You have to watch closely because on some pc’s this option goes by quick, so be ready to act. Once in the DOS environment navigate to “boot options” choose safe mode . Save changes and exit. When your os is up go immediately to system restore: Click Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. Choose a date before your issue arose.>click next/continue and wait for system to restore. Reboot, and enter DOS environment once more and go to boot options and choose “Normal boot”>save changes and exit and you should be done. I hope this helped or at least gave you some ideas for further investigation.
