Be very careful around microwaves they have very high voltage inside them that can be deadly. As for the control panel its very common for grease and oil to get behind the plastic film of the control panel, once it does the buttons will stop working since the grease insulates the contacts. Unplug it from the power, let it sit for 60 minutes to make sure all power from the high voltage caps has dissipated. Get access to the back of the control panel. You will probably have to peel back the control plastic on the front to get behind it. One behind clean all the buttons and contact areas. Reassemble, and it should work.

LG Microwave Clicking and Flashing

Go for a warranty repair anyway. It may be the magnetron, and the clicking is the big condenser discharging.

Tappan 5030 microwave oven fuse is ok but no lights on keypad come on

see the causes and fix it. God bless you
Touchpad dead If you have a stuck key or non-responsive key, most of the time you will have to replace the keypad for this microwave oven repair. If your keypad is connected to your control board by a flat ribbon wire, try disconnecting it and clean the silver contacts with an ordinary pencil eraser. After cleaning, plug it back in and try it. If it doesn't fix it, replace the keypad unit. Some units actually have keypad tests to confirm your diagnosis of a bad key.If your keypad and control is the same unit, replace that unit. Another note, unlike stove/oven keypads and controls, most microwaves do not have error codes or tests to distinguish whether it is truely the keypad or control. Most of the time, it is the keypad that needs replacing, but a small percentage of the time it can be the control. Check the tech sheet if they can point you to the right part.

Sharp Carousel Microwave - R1481 keypad doesn't work

No! I'am afraid not, the problem is in the keypad control board, the whole assembly must be replaced, the part alone will cost around $100.00 or more depending on make and model.

My microwave doesn't work, but display works

I would strongly consider replacing the microwave oven, prices have dropped considerably. The problem you are describing is in the keypad controller board.

Microwave doesn't work

Sounds like you have a faulty control panel. I would use a meter and test the power from the control board to the magnetron and circuit board. Chances are the control panel is faulty
