Kenmore Elite Front Load Washer...F02 and SUD not draining!!!!

My machine is not draining. I have tried unplugging. It is a Kenmore Elite HE3 quietpak

    ok so I got our friend to fix our washing machine for the F02 and found 8 or so toddler socks under the rubber lip and found two in a black box thing that was inside the back of the washer.... what is up with that. It seems like a design flaw to me. truly disappearing socks... am I loading to much into the washer...
    very strange!

    I had the same problem, but with a HE2, but there were FIVE toddler socks in the trap and one under the rubber lip. I'm glad I read this website before calling a repair guy to come out!

Be prepared with lots and lots of towels.

Alas, I ran the drain, spin and was rewarded with a sud error and now there is water in the washer tub.

Draining the water pump helped slove my F02 problem

Had same problem. Followed advice on post (i.e., remove bottom panel three screws, unscrew filter cap (have lots of towels cause it will drain), remove filter and voila!). Found one sock, a quarter, and some other junk clogging the drain. Saved $55 house service call. Thanks all!

Probably something caught in pump. Remove lower panel if this one has it and you will see the pump. Loosen the round cover in middle to access clean-out.

I have a kenmore elite HE3 washer. I was getting the sud error and then eventually F02. I cleaned out all the drain lines and pump filter trap and this did not help. I've now replaced the pump
I endevor to purchase a new unit. I've had the same electrical issue with the "F" variable coming up for EACH cycle. I've pressed the Pause/Cancel button and attempted to resume the cycle. While that did work, again, the "F" would come up and the cycle disrupted. I think I will end up paying quite a bit to have it serviced. My washer is 7 years old and I've had it serviced twice to date. I intend on purchasing new in the New Year, a Samsung or LG.

I Have Probleme whit my Whirlpool (SUD F02) Thank you
It sounds like you have a Whirlpool Duet instead of a Whirlpool Cabrio as the codes indicate a draining problem. Press Pause/Cancel twice to clear the display then unplug the machine. Remove the screws attaching the bottom front panel then pull the panel down and off. Prop up the front bottom edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access the screws more easily.

Place a container or a piece of towel underneath the filter to catch spillage. You may need to drain the water from the machine by putting the end of the drain hose over a container on the floor. Position the container as low as possible to extract as much water.

Remove the drain filter by turning it counterclockwise and clean it.

I have a Kenmore Elite HE3 model 44832 200 washer. Will spin sometimes, but doesn't seem to get to full speed. Often won't spin at all and gets F02 error, but it does roll during wash/rinse cycles. ...

he F02 message is a long drain error and it may mean the pump is clogged or bad. You don't provide a lot of detail about if the water is draining out or not but the first thing to check for this error is the drain pump.

The image below shows how to access the pump and remove the filter. This may be your only problem. With the access panel removed you can also make sure the pump is running. Remember to unplug the washer before removing the access panel.

Check the pump for the F02 and make sure you're using HE detergent and there's not excessive suds.

Getting F02 error on Kenmore Elite HE3 washing machine............how do i fix problem?
Hi

Error F02 appears after 8mins of SUDs error. Error F02 means Long drain, means washer is taking longer time than normal to drain. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. NOTE: After 4 minutes the SUD error will be displayed, and then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.
• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
• If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
There are 3 small 9/32 hex head screws that hold the front panel on. Unscrew the 3 hex head screws (9/32 socket or nut driver size), now remove the front kick panel. Unscrew the white drain cap -WARNING-- lots of water will drain out when you loosen the white cap. Once all the water is out, remove and take out the filter trap. Hope this helps... Please post back for more information.

Kenmore HE3 front loader keeps getting F02 error message, most often when I wash towels. I was able to workaround by pulling half the load, but that no longer does the trick.

Kenmore elite he3 front load
I had the same issue with a brand new wash. The issue I found was the installers installed the drain line too low. The drain line needs to be a minimum of 39" above the floor. Hope this helps -- Kent

Control Panel
I believe the DRAIN/SPIN button on the Kenmore Elite HE3 will clear a locked control panel if you hold the button in for 3 seconds. This is actually a safety feature to keep small children from playing with the buttons and allows the consumer to lock the control panel. I hope that's all the problem you have and that it is not a control panel failure. Let me know if this helps. PS The matching Kenmore Elite Dryer uses the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for the same feature.

Error codes
I own a HE3 kenmore elite for 4 years now and the troubleshooting codes are: SUD When excessive suds are detected, a suds routine automatically starts. This causes the cycle to go longer to remove the excess suds. Reduce detergent amounts or use HE detergent. The F02 error I had with mine and it is a drain problem. Book says check the hose for kinks, clogged or is it more than 96 inches above the floor. On mine it was the fan pump on the forward motor that drains the washer. It was worn and not pushing out the water fast enough. You will hear a high pitched whine at the front bottom of the washer if this is bad. To reset the washer from the F02 error, select pause/cancel twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer or dissconnect power. good luck
