The things you'd want to check first are:
1. the volume of your speaker is not turned off ...
2. your GPS (navigation) software supports voice navigation - directions /commands ...
3. you have (installed & selected) a navigation voice (e.g. standard or computer voice)
4. you have done a "reboot" ... or "hard reset" ... to start the software up again.
If all of these are OK ... and you previously had heard navigation voice on your GPS ... but suddenly, there's no more navigation voice, then it is possible that the navigation software (voice portion) got corrupted. If that's the case, you would want to try to restore your software from backup (using HOME), or download a copy of the navigation software from TomTom.com (for your device type/class) and install it.
You will have to buy a new navigation unit @ about $2,000. I have a 2006 Sienna XLE Limited with Navi. Mine broke by having no display, had a clicking noise, and the lights would come on and off about every 5 seconds. www.radiomedics.com told me they found the problem with the toyota navigation units (they had seen a lot of them) and could fix them for around $300 if Denso (the co. who makes the units) would sell them the part. But Denso will not sell the part so we are forced to buy a used unit (who knows how long that will last) or new. Toyota reliability, yeah right.
use navigation service only when u have 3g service enabled... otherwise it will not work upto the mark u want.. by this u can go anywhere u want with the help of the touch... for more information go to nokia website.. or talk to the nokia dealer for more deep use of navigation...:-)
Can't be done. All the safety items are controlled by the ECM.
If the ECM senses the car moving via the speed sensor, it will disable
the nav. To disable the safety would be to disable the computer and the
car will not run.
I shipped my 2006 Yukon Denali from USA to Saudi Arabia. When I to purchase the Middle East map DVD for the navigation system. GM Navigation answered me that they do not have the middle east DVD and I should contact the European branch. The dealer in Saudi Arabia is asking for $1200 for the disc and I know it is worth no more than $400. Could you please direct me to someone who sells the 06 Denali navigation map DVD? Thanks..
