Today being Tuesday June 30.. my clock radio says it's monday. That's fine except for when I have to get up for work and the alarm doesn't go off because it says it's still the weekend on monday.
I haven't seen a year on it. I've tried going through the dates to get to another year as well, no luck.I haven't seen a year on it. I've tried going through the dates to get to another year as well, no luck.

if just time is off by one to three hour(s) , you need to ck your time zone settings , if the day is off by one day you need to wait 24hrs keeping watch in a good view of the sky (not locked in a metal box) it should auto correct itself to proper day when it receives the radio signal for two time cycles (24hrs)
check you have set to the correct year, and remember a leap year has one day more... note date, month stays the same but the day changes from year to year.. hope your clock has a year function?
Harlyn,
Have you checked the year also. That is the only item you have not mentioned. If the year is wrong then the day may be wrong. So, you must set the time, date, month and the year, then only would you get the correct day.
Yourl calendar year may be wrong. If the calendar needs to be reset hold down the month/date & time buttons. Press the up or down button based on you have to baclward or forward.
My Solution for Mitsubishi HS-U500 VCR setting the date for 2008 and beyond:
I had same problem with this old unit as everyone else has. Since the year really doesn't matter (except maybe when you're setting to tape near a new year), here's how to get the day and dates correct:
On the remote, push Menu button, then select "First time setup", then select "Set the Clock", then select the month. Now, start adjusting the YEAR and watch how the "days" change with the years. Adjust the years so that the "Day" (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) matches the date (1,2, 22, 23, 28, etc.) in the month. Then cycle thru the rest of the items and get out by hitting menu button again.
That's it! That's my quicky solution. Caveat: This may not be permanent with leap years and the like, so you may need to check it from time to time to make sure the days match up with the dates. But you can do this when you go to set up for timed taping. Hope that "FIXes" it for "Ya"!
