I you're running on a CiX or CTX platform, you're dealer or system administrator needs to enter the amount of CID calls to be buffered on that particular phone. This can only be done via the System Administration Program.
The date and time is supplied with the caller ID information from your phone service provider. When you get a call, the date and time will be set. (If you don't have caller ID, there's no way to set the date and time otherwise. I've always wondered who came up with such a silly design.)
display ic got short internally that has to be replaced.this many a times happens due to over charging or the moisture collected on the circuit makes it short when connected for charging.
try pressing the transfer button when the phone is ringing (without lifting the handset) - it should work through a cycle of displays until the phone number is displayed.
just connect one end of the phone plug to the id caller, then connect the outlet of the caller id and fix it to phone...........even then if u hav problem, may be ur caller id doesn.t hav batteries..............otherwise u may hav some problem in the id caller socket where phone plugs r inserted................
What I did was UNPLUG the base's power unit from the wall... waiting about one minute, and plugged it back in. That caused it to "reboot" the entire system, and the CID now shows itself.
This means the person who is calling you is hiding his number from caller IDs. There is no problem with your caller ID. if you try and call your phone from a mobile phone and you type #31# and then your phone's number you will see that the number of your mobile will not be displayed. (#31# service must be provided by your mobile company)
