Convergence problems. FIrst try going into customer setup and seeing if convergence options are there and if adjustments can be made. unfortunately when the picture is bowed like that it idicates a complete loss of convergence which idicates one of three boards have gone bad.

More information is required to properly troubleshoot this problem. How is your television connected when you are watching HD? Do you have HDMI for this, do you have a satellite or digital cable box? For analogue are you using regular coax antenna (cable TV), or are you going through a cable or satellite box?
This could be related to the aspect ration setting. perhaps you ahve changed your aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 or some other setting. If you are connected via HDMI, then the digital signal may be "normalizing" your picture during HD, but reverting back to the other setting.
Check you video settings very carefully. HD televisions are very difficult to tweak properly.

If your tv still works, then this will be worth it. Turn the set around and remove the screws that hold the particle backing on. From there, drain the high voltage from the flyback. You'll also need to be very careful not to damage the reflective piece inside. This can be removed also, but be very careful. If you loosen the chassis, you should be able to access the front plexiglass panel. If you have any doubts about doing any of this, please consider taking this in to someone who is certified. Remember: working on tv sets can be VERY dangerous. Especially if you don't know how to drain the 2nd anode. HIGH VOLTAGE!!!

Is the convcergence ( Alignment) also off which gives the TV a 3D look around items on the screen? If so replace the STK730-130 on the convergence power supply
