has the carb been correctly reassembled and reattached?, if you are unsure get a pro to give it the once over. If the floats and jets are okay and it is correctly installed there should be no issue.
Was the engine running badly ? it may be that you have other problems too...(hopefully not)
when you turn the throttle does the carb operate correctly? Might the problem lie with thethrottle cable?rrectly?
code says throttle/ pedal position sensor,,, but be careful it could be the pedal sensor or thethrottle body ,,, im afraid you need it plugged in for a diagnostic to read the data list to see which sensor is reading incorecct
I am not a car expert but have over 50 years experience with cars--I would put the old sensor back and see what happens---codes can be misleading----also from recent experience is this a dbw or drive by wire vehicle? Has a throttle cable and or a cruise control cable? you might want to do some research on the IAC if has one---Idle air control which is cheap and easy to replace in most cases and can even be cleaned in some cases to cure idle at start or stop situations.
You may also have put a defective part in the vehicle, never rule that out as not possible
Run new cable under right side of mortor put cable through throttle brake bracket hook end into slot. Then run other end to handle and hook in slot.
hope this helps.
