The rear right wheel on my John Deere Z225 is scrubbing the frame.

A: Scribbling the frame:
-Possibly the bolts on the wheel are lose. And it turn warble that's why it scrub the frame.
B: Uneven cut:
-Uneven cut is not the tire or wheel. Possibly the height adjust on the cutter deck is broken or lose bolt. Or may be bend cutter blade as well.

Good luck

What do i need for replacement string? Can i go heavier or stay with the smaller string? This is for mastercraft 20v grass trimmer. thanks

the size of the string is critical in electric driven trimmers
it does have mass and the thicker string will over load the motor
stay with the recommended string size and keep to the recommended distance to the grass being cut
string line cutters work on the principle that the tip speed of the string is what does the cutting and that means that the first 1/2" of string cuts the grass
the rest back to the hub acts like a brake as it is dragged across the grass and slows the cutting speed and loads the motor
remember that the machine is designed to trim edges and not to cut down growth-- that is a job for heavier duty units

How do you convert the Echo grass trimmer model SRM-22ges to the brush cutting option?

There is a hole just above the grass trimming head that you can slip a screw driver into. Turn the head so that the inner and outer holes align where you can put a screw driver or other hard steel object in. Put it in there and then turn the head counter clock wise until it comes off, it may take a little effort to get it to move, but you should be able to do this with your hands. Once you get the trimmer head off, put the blade on and hopefully you still have the nut and washer accessories to hold the blade in place. You will need to place your screw driver back in the alignment hole to hold the head from spinning while you tighten the blade nut back down. Make sure it is tight, you don't want that blade coming off at ~10,000 rpm!

There are not different jets for the carburetor, the only thing you can do is to adjust and run high octane fuel.

I bought a Weedeater with a Briggs and Stratton engine less than 4 months ago. While mowing thick grass (all my grass is thick this year) it boggs down and gaggs out. Fuel starts spitting out the vent...

You need to check two things. First, what size (horsepower) engine does it have? and second, how sharp is the blade? If you mowing that hard continuously, you'll need a very sharp mower with a good amount of horsepower or you'll just kill the poor thing. I would recommend you have at least 6 HP if that grass is giving you that much trouble. Be sure your blade is sharp (sounds like it's not) or it will just bash the grass down instead of cutting it off. Have your blade professionally sharpened, or better yet, buy a new one. They only run around $15 USD for a standard 22 inch blade. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

Engine start procedure for grass trimmer 350 L x series

  • With the trimmer placed on a level piece of ground press the primer bulb about 10 times.
  • Open the choke.
  • Press the throttle and lock it in place with the lock button
  • Pull the start cord until the engine catches. It doesn't matter if it cuts out again.
  • Close the choke, and if the engine did cut out the first time, pull the start cord again. This time it should start and you can start trimming the grass. If it didn't cut out just close the choke and you're ready for trimming.

Riding mower

If the grass is very tall (more than 10") you will have to slow down to less than 1 mph, if you have a mulch kit on this unit, remove it to get the grass out as quickly as possible. Also, sharp blades & a level deck are important.
