If playing direct in to the TV, make sure the player's audio menu is set to "mixdown to PCM" or just PCM rather than Bitstream. The reason is that most Blu-rays contain audio in DTS format. But very few TVs can handle the raw Bitstreams DTS data feed. Let the player do the conversion to an audio format that the TV understands. PCM is pretty universal. It'll be just stereo, but that's okay because your TV probably can't do much more than that anyway.

How do i access youtube on my phillips BDP2105 blu-ray player

Make sure your Blu-Ray player is connected to the Internet.

Open your Blu-ray player menu. Locate and select the "YouTube" app. Many Internet-ready Blu-ray players come with a YouTube app already installed on theplayer. With some Blu-ray players, however, you may be required to install theYouTube app on your player.

How do I connect my Sony soundbar ht-ct 260h to my blu ray player etc, I have no optical port or arc hdmi port,at the moment connected through the audio lead to soundbar & tv ?

hook your dvd player up to the tv via hdmi, then take the optical audio output from you tv to the soundbar. Make sure to enable to audio output jack in the tv setup menu as some manufacturers disable this jack by default.

I have the Phillips blu ray player and my Wi-Fi will not connect for netflix. I heard about the Phillips WiFi usb but I didn't know if thats what I needed

most of the wi-fi conections built into blu ray players are crap & the dongles for them aren\'t any better, buy a long cable & hard wire it, mine works perfect this way.

Pioneer vsx-5231 not pairing with Phillips bdp-2175 smart bluray player

have you tried to connect the Philips direct to the TV's hdmi?

Could be the resolution on the bluray is set to 1080p which may be out of range for the receiver or even the TV for that matter. If you can reset the output resolution of the bluray to 480p first, just to establish a picture then try 720P which all HD tv's and receivers can handle.

I did a quick search and could not find the resolution reset procedure for this unit. Other units will reset if you press and hold 2 or more buttons together.

I just bought a phillips blu ray and trying to hook it up to my sanyo 50" plasma through a hdmi i get video but no sound the tv says to use the dvi port and audio 3 inputs but the blu ray does not hav

Hello there, the hdmi cable is a great way to get high definition video from a bluray player to a tv, but if the bluray player is part of a surround sound system you will need to get the sound to the tv separately. There is often a red and white audio terminal in the rear of the bluray player, sometimes located next to a yellow terminal, these are known as a component connection as each component (coloured terminal) is separate and operates a separate function, but all 3 connections can be used together to create a SCART equivalent. You may need to connect an 'Audio Component to 3.5mm jack' cable from the white and red terminals to the headphone/line in socket on the tv.

alternatively, as wilth my player, there is a button on the remote which switches the audio source from component, hdmi, SCART, etc, this may be the same for you.

hope this helps.
