If the text is actually in the photo, copying the photo to a new location should not lose the text.

Try removing the USB drives from the Device Manager, then power down, plug in the flash drive and power backup again.
Win should find the drive and reinstall drivers and recognize the drive again.
Despite improvements in the behavior of Widows, it is also still advisable to 'turn off' a removable drive before unplugging it.
If you system is pretty much standard, you should find the drive symbol with an arrow indicating 'remove' on your task bar to the right.
Left-lick on that symbol and it will bring up a short menu of any removable drives and then just click on the one you want to pull.

This photo frame will only support jpeg files. Other formats can't be displayed as show up as a red x. Also, the picture is 800x600 so larger formated files may not display correctly either. Remove the SD card and look at it using your PC. Check that all the files are .jpg - if not either replace or reformat them to be jpg and it should work fine.

Try a different flash-drive, preferably one with a _smaller_ capacity.
Did the item come with a one-year warranty? If so, exercise the warranty, and get a replacement.

I've never heard of that. Try copying the picture files to an external drive or a usb flash drive. Then you can put them anywhere you like on another computer requardless of whether it's 32bit or 64 bit.
