Canon will send you a new one for free or minimal cost. There is a pin that acts as a hinge. push it out from the side with a paperclip or very small screwdiver or punch. reinstall the new door in reverse careful of the spring. Some cameras, there's a screw holding the door on, in this case the new door will include the hinge.

Where can I buy a replacement battery cover door for a Nikon Coolpix s7c please?

Hello again

There is one repair place that lists 700 different battery doors, but your is listed and out of stock. AliExpress also lists doors and sometimes they end up on eBay. Your best bet is Nikon direct.

How to replace battery door?

I just replaced my battery door. You have to take every screw out of the camera. I used a philips eye glass screw driver. Then, pull the front and back covers apart carefully, its only plastic. There is a pin that holds the door to the rear cover. If you push the battery door button back and fourth the pin will start to show out the side of the camera. I pulled it out once it showed with small pair of needle nose pliers. Just reverse the procedure to install the new door.

Replacement Battery Cover Assembly

If you're handy, you can replace it in about 3 minutes. Don't attempt it unless you're willing to risk tearing a thin flexible circuit under the rear cover. Looking at the camera from the rear, remove the screws on the right hand side ( 2 ? ) then the screws across the bottom - open the card door, remove the card, and wedge a knife blade between the front and rear cover halves - the card door will be loose with an attached spring coming free. No need to remove the rear housing completely, just enough to expose the tracks for the battery cover hinge. Remove the old door, noting the position of the opening spring at the hinge, by angling one hinge out first. Insert the new battery cover and the card door in reverse order.
