are you combining the brightness key with the FN Button?

First, Did you check the Windows 8 Spec Requirements? If you have a laptop the Graphics Card will be a problem, most likely it can not be changed.

Go into your touchpad software and set the settings. Click Start/Control Panel and look for Mouse or Touchpad.
