What does canon e30 error code mean? - Canon PIXMA MG2120 Inkjet Photo All-In-One

Sir, there doesn't seem to be an error code accounted for that reads E30.

That is the link to the service repair manual which also has the error codes so you can diagnose what is going on although there doesn't seem to be an E30 code accounted for.

This is a more extended list of all of the error codes and once again there seems to be no E30. There are 9 pages of error codes if you'd like to look.

Perhaps a mistype?

e30 refers to a memory card error, at least on their cameras. try a different card.

The E30 error means that the scanner unit either can't determine the size of the original or that the document is too small when "Fit-to-Page" copying is selected.

Check that your original is face down on the scanner glass (or face up if you have an automatic feeder). Also, check the position and direction of the original. You may need to copy the document without the "Fit-to-Page" option. Then copy the original in several sections.

Hello sreenivasulu, if you are receiving error code E30, first check if it is a false error code by resetting the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about 30 seconds. If the error code persists, it could potentially mean a number of things: a pressure sensor issue, defective wiring, valve assembly problem and/or control board issue. I would strongly recommend connecting with an expert technician to assist further.

Error E30 are not related with resetting printer :D. Error E30 is caused the main board or board of the printer wet by ink or other liquid things that make some components of the board short. Maybe temporary short and also permanent short, it caused printer mall function. in my experience on the canon printer board is only temporary mall function till we clean the board. You can clean it with thinner or other liquid cleaner.

E30 is a Error related to Exhaust Fan. Pls check if the Fan is working, replace if required. If the scanner was used in a dusty environment, the dust can clog the free movement of the blades. It may require cleaning.

According to Canon's Knowledge Base here, this error means that there is a problem with the shutter. It appears that the camera needs service. If you just purchased the camera, it should be covered by warranty.

Error code E30 indicates motor tachometer failure.
There is a loss of signal during tumble or spin.
Check your user guide.

What does the E40 error code mean?

This error relates to the motor drive. Plug off the wall, open up behind, look for broken belt. If the belt is good its the motor brushes. Secure connections to the motor, look for loose wires.....
