Something must be jamming the filter. You will need to just keep working it. If you cannot get it to open, you will need to replace the whole assembly.
I realize that this post really old but I wanted this to be available
for the next guy. I bought Bosch part number 154740 which are brushes
that worked for me. They will tell you it wont work but it did for my
Bosch (wfmc1001uc/09) washing machine.
This code indicates a leak and usually appears with the "wash" indicator light. Check the supply hose and make sure it is tightly attached to its fitting. If there is a crack in the fitting, you may need to replace the hose or the fitting or both.
If its showing a key symbol then the child lock is on.Press and hold the start/pause button in for several seconds and this should take the child lock off and start to work again.
