What is causing my toilet cistern to fill very slow?

After flushing the cistern seems to fill very slow even when fill tap is on full. I have checked the hose and it is all clear.

The fill valve (operated by the float) may be clogged with sand or debris from inside the pipe. It's generally easier to replace a fill valve than it is to take it apart & clean it.

SOURCE: Loud hammering noise with vibration on piper when the cistern fil

You're experiencing "water hammering" it's solvable too.
You can buy anti-hammer add-ons which you can put under a nearby sink, or even on an outside hose bib. This will give the water pipes an air "shock absorber"... since air compresses it cushions the abrupt changes in the pressure where as if it's just water, it'll slam and hammer and vibrate...
Try an anti hammer device added to you supply... you should be able to add it with out too much tearout.

SOURCE: hi, i have a caroma duel flush toilet possibly 10

First make sure it is not overfilling. The water level must stop before it reaches the overflow pipe. If it continues to run it will overflow into the bowl and continue to run. Adjust the fill level to the mark inside the tank. Make sure nothing is getting under the flapper and holding it open. You replaced the flapper so we know that is not the problem. Just make sure the flapper is centered on the drain hole.

Had an opella flush system fitted in January this year, now the cistern doesn't fill up after the toilet is flushed, unless the cold water tap is turned on. Can you advise? Feel I should call the plumber...

The fill system should have a small tube that runts down an open tube in the tank to the cistern. Remove the tank lid and place the tube back in the round tube about 3/4' in diameter and open.

Why my uberhaus dual flush toilet does not flush properly

Perhaps it is taking a long time to fill the cistern, take top off and see if it's filling after flushing, if it's slow and pressure is ok it is likely to need a new diaphragm in the filling valve.

Cistern water won't fill to line

Yes it could be. Bend the rod that holds the ball into the water. This should do it. As far as the fill line. It is not imperative that it fills to the line. In fact it uses more water to do so. This is going to save you water anyway. Adjust your chain that lifts the flapper a little shorter so that it lifts the flapper up higher. This will stop you from having to flush the handle several times. Let me know if this works.

Water running into the bowl after flush and refil

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE BALL-**** (FLOAT SWITCH) IN THE CISTERN IS SET TOO HIGH UP. THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT MODELS BUT ALL SHOULD BE EASILY ADJUSTED. HAVE A LOOK INSIDE THE CISTERN AND ADJUST THE FLOAT SO THAT THE WATER STOPS AT A LOWER LEVEL. IF THE WATER IS CONTINUOSLY FLOWING INTO THE CISTERN WHEN FULL YOU MIGHT NEED A NEW INLET WASHER

I have a toilet with a push button flush mechanism (allowing half or full flush). The toilet has a macerator behind it. If you flush the toilet and the macerator jams, the push button stays stuck in and...

This seems like a problem with your cistern and not your macerator - I have a similar set up and if your push button is stuck you need to check the mechanism in the cistern - also you should have an overflow that drains into your loo within the cistern so you should check this for blockages as well.

Weak dual flush does not empty the toilet bowl.

well, yes... but apart from providing you with a forum in which to vent your frustration I'm not sure how you think we might help. I have the same problem with a dual flush cistern, but in my case I know that the root of the problem lies in the fact that the soil pipe leading from the bowl has insufficient fall (because the previous owner of my house moved the toilet further from the down pipe). Maybe something like this is contributing to your problem too?
