You have a problem with tray movement in the finisher/sorter area. Sometimes those trays get slightly bnt if somebody leans on them and they dont strike the sensor in the center properly. If not then maybe the upper and lower limit sensors need to be cleaned or replaced

Please let me know what is the make and the model of the pc that you are using.. Also, go to the bios, under boot menu, make sure that you have hard drive as the first boot option.. For further queries please get in touch..
Sounds like you have a bad/disconnected Hard Drive and the system is looking for a second boot device (ie: Floppy with a disk) or your primary IDE channel on your motherboard is bad
By your description it is very likely your hard drive finally failed. You probably looking at total data loss unless you have made recently an backup of it. You will have to get a new HD and then you can install your OS and software.
Another more remote possibility is that when you opened some covers, you accidentally disturbed the HD connection causing this problem.
Just for clarification, was there a lot of dust inside ?
From the Bios, load all the default settings and then check the bios SATA port settings. If it is set to AHCI, change it to IDE to boot from Hard Drive. This should solve the problem
