Does this camera have night vision?

1. It should go to automatic night vision. If this feature is not working then the answer to will a flashlight work the answer is not very well. The light will have to be on the child and a flashlight does not have much light behind it. Perhaps if you put a small lamp on a dresser that shines on the area the child is, this may work enough to keep an eye on him/her. A flashlight not so much. Hope this helps.

This kind of issue is usually caused by the night vision mode of the camera being switched on.
In some cases, the cause may be more than just the night vision being turned on but just to be sure, it is advised that you turn of any function that has to do with the night vision feature.
These features may range from the night vision mode itself and then to the night vision lighting.

This camera does not have sensor & night vision , even its not a mega pixel camera. Its just a VGA camera. So you need to buy a Night vision cam cost approx 15$ - 20$. thanks.

Generaly most night vision cameras are of the infrared kind where you need infrared lights of typically infrared LEDs.If you can get more infrared leds towards your objects will be better.Or you can buy infrared lamps with independent power and similar to the ones you place on your front yard.I've tried it and it works.

Assuming the batteries are good and installed properly, you can view the Infrared output of the remote with any video camera that has night-vision mode.

Goto a camera shop with video cameras on display, set the unit to nightshot/night vision, and look at the front of the remote while pushing the buttons. You should see flashing from the unit, as the infrared LEDs are very bright.

If you see no flashing, then you likely will need to purchase a replacement remote.

I do not believe XM2 or GL2 does not have night vision mode. You may achieve little using video gain control. We all know Sony has the night vision modes which have been popular feature. James

I really dont wanna have to buy a whole nother cam. but i dont know where to just buy the cd Or if i can get other software for it without needing the cd. Help please?
