have scanned records into my computer via hp officejet 6500 scanning software. when i come to print i only get the top half of the document printed on the bottom half of the page - help!!!
Resolution you scanned it at as well as scanning in color versus black and white. Also, that 47 page document might be vector graphics and text rather than bitmap information.
Scan in 200dpi black and white to get a usable (readable) and small file. Should be about 100-200kbytes per page.

Upgrade to Acobat 9.0 Pro. It seems to work in that can scan pages for a document, HOWEVER, adding/appending to already scaned pages for a document seems to crash 9.0. For example, say I scan in pages 1 - 4. I cannot then scan pages 5 -6 as part of the same document--crashes Acrobat.
I think this finally proves the problem is Acrobat 8.0 and NOT the i40 drivers.
