I have a pair of copy star KM-3060 copiers that are both having the same problem. When you power up the machine, the LCD shows "Program Loading" and that message stays on the LCD and does not change state. We have traded out the operation panel, the memory, the hard drive and have tried to upgrade the machine firmware to no avail. When going through the recovery process as stated in the tech. bulletins, the machine acts as though it is not taking the upgrade. We even tried to only load the MMII memory as instructed by tech. support. I have checked to make sure my compact flash card was working by upgrading the firmware of another KM-3060. Any help?

Is one side lighter then the other side of the copy? Meaning uneven copy darkness? If so, I believe the problem is that one or both sides of the drum cartridge and the developer are not connected correctly. The two parts need to be close togather to make a nice dark copy. This model has a very wierd drum unit and has a defect that one or both side of the drum unit locking tabs break and you get very light or blank copies. It's some what coastly to replace the whole unit... That would be a worse case.... If it is just on one side you might be able to push on the cover on the side that is light. If the copies come out better. One side is broken..I would fold up some paper and make a wedge to push the catridges closer. Good Luck

Ensure that you have cleaned the main and transfer corona's as shown by the instruction leaflet that comes in the box of toner.Also ensure that the large left cover is correctly closed.It is possible that your copy paper is very damp so try changing it for fresh paper or put 20 sheets in the microwave for around 15 seconds to remove the excess moisture.Also are you using genuine toner?
