Have you tried to go into your control panel, uninstall program and see if you find the safesearch within that list? safesearch is usually associated with something that you have downloaded recently. most of the time, people do not pay attention to the installation process and just want it installed instead of looking at what the installation consists of. some of the programs that can be found online, usually have another program that they are installing first onto your computer. this can be avoided by simply un-checking the box that would be located at the bottom of the window that you are looking at.
