TOSHIBA 55H70 WILL NOT REMAIN ON. TV OPERATIONAL THEN SHUTS ITSELF OFF AFTER ONE OR TWO MINUTES. HEAR A CLICK AS IT IS SHUTTING DOWN. RED POWER LIGHT FLASHES AFTER IT SHUTS OFF. CAN THIS BE REPAIRED EASILY AND INEXPENSIVELY? IS THIS SOMETHING THAT I CAN REPAIR MYSELF?

First thing I would do is replace relay. If relay is sticking open then replace and there is a diode in front of relay replace it to. Not least the caps around it.

1)all TV's I service get the chassis pulled for good visual inspection and soldering any/all suspect connections,esp. any active device mounted to a heatsink. 2)Check horiz drive circuit for weak capacitor. 3)Let me know if you are still on it.....T.

the lamp in the projector might have went. try replaceing it. to do so try
ADTECH SYSTEMS they may help

SOURCE: TV turns off and power light blinks unpluged andd still does it.
Likely to be the STK convergence chips causing a protection circuit to switch the TV off. Have you got any onscreen convergence problems (i.e, colour fringes)?
