This has been getting worse over the past 2 years, and soon the ants will cover the clock completely. Our daughter has the same oven and is experiencing the same problem, so it must be inherent with these ranges. I have started loosening the top panel but find it difficult to get at the source of the problem, so need help. Thanks!

First of all, do not use the oven thermometers from a grocery store. they can be off by 20 degrees or more. These directions may help you for electronically controlled ovens. The older manually controlled ovens have a small screw head in the center of the oven temperature knob that can be adjusted in usually 10 degree increments.
To Adjust the Thermostat
Touch the Bake and Broil Hi/Lo pads
at the same time for 3 seconds until the
display shows SF.
Touch the Bake pad. A two digit number
shows in the display.
Touch Bake once to decrease (-)
the oven temperature, or twice to
increase (+).
The oven temperature can be adjusted
up as much as 35°F. or down as much
as 35°F. Touch the number pads the
same way you read them. For example,
to change the oven temperature 15°F,
touch 1 and 5.
When you have made the adjustment,
touch the Start pad to go back to the
time of day display. Use your oven as
you would normally.
NOTE: The thermostat adjustment for Baking
will also affect Convection Baking or Convection Roasting.

There is nothing fancy about how the gas controls work on this unit. Do all burners give you the same problem? If so, it could be a kinked service hose or a service valve that has been partly shut. If it is limited to a single burner or two, the valve may be gummed up and should be replaced.

Thanks for providing the full model number, which allows us to look up part numbers and see exploded views of your product.
Most likely the bake ignitor is bad (even if it still glows, it may not draw enough amperage to allow the gas safety valve to open). One way you can test this on your model is to swap out the broil ignitor for the bake ignitor, as they are the same part number on your model. (part number WB13T10045) The broiler is normally used much less than the oven, so the part does not fail very often on the broiler. You will have to take the cover off the floor of the oven, then the flame spreader, to reach the burner area. The ignitor is the rectangular part at the back, on the side of the burner. (only two wires to deal with) (By the way, for future reference, your model number ends is SS, as in stainless steel, not a 55)

Turn off power to range first!!!
You'll have to remove the back of the panel in which the clock is installed to access the back of the clock. There will be two wires attached to the clock. Just pulling one of these wires off will stop the clock.
I would suggest, however, that you pull both wires off, put electrical tape on the ends of the connectors, and tuck them out of the way somewhere around the clock.
