Psp failed to update mlb 09 and now the screen is froze.

Once a PSP is bricked there is no simple way of unbricking it. If it is still under warranty then contact sony and they will tell you where to send it to have it fixed. If it is outside the warranty date there are sellers on ebay that can repair it for a price.

Take it back. Tell them its defected. It should not have done this.

That is because you like many people received a faulty blu-ray laser . Call Sony support ASAP and they will repair or replace it for free if it is under warranty. If it is out of warranty, there may be a local tech that can repair it. Don't get scammed though. Make sure they have their own repair shop and/or a great reputation before you let them work on it.

Sounds like the laser diode burned out. If your under warranty send it in. If not you could buy a replacment and install it yourself.

Ok. Its most likely a joystick problem. this happens quite often. you can replace the cap (the movey bit) or you might need a total replacement (or something is loose and you need to get someone to look at it for you)

cleen the umd laser with a q-tip and windex. dampen the q-tip andwipe across umd laser. dry with other side of q-tip. take out game wen turning psp on
