SOURCE: Ice Maker No Longer Works - Water Works fine
Not sure if this will work for you - I had a similar problem with a Kenmore fridge. I removed the ice tray and found a piece of ice stuck where the ice is made and dropped into the tray. Once I clear this obstruction, the ice maker worked again. Also, check for the mechanism that indicates that the ice tray is full. This may be jammed or malfunctionin.

This sounds like the float mechanism has gone bad. Remove it and have a look. It may be the float or the switch on it that is bad. There is also a solenoid valve. Parts kits are available. Shut off the water first!

you need to check the inlet screen on the solenoid down below for blockage, also make sure that the freexer is cold enough
SOURCE: GE Refrigerator GSS201EPWW is making a loud noise
This is the fan motor making noise but the fan motor is probably ok. The main board supplies voltage to the motor and can cause it to make strange noises.
