SOURCE: Trouble Starting VESPA

Check for bad gas -- water in gas , it is likely you have left the choke on.

- you can do this by yourself only if you have good mechanical skills as you have to dismantle the whole dashboard/handlebar!
- better you ask your vespa-shop t
a LR-43 button cell is needed

Where is the choke positioned thanks on vespa piaggio 50cc

Below the fuel tap on the 'horn'. Little round plastic 'button'. Prone to getting lost though so maybe missing. Should be a little hole or spigot if the choke lever itself is gone.

2006 lx50 still won't start. Changed the plug and still no spark. Should I just go ahead and replace the wire and coil? Anybody?

put your finger on lead and turn her over-that should answer if magneto is cranking any power to your plug-ps wear rubber boots and hang on to your best mate!lol

2006 lx50....spark plug doesnt fire...is it the spark plug??? Randall

it can also be the coded key (blue or brown keys only) sends no signal to open up the antitheft lock - there is a small red indicator on the instrument panel (see owner manual)
