Several things can cause this including a bad ribbon cable and a worn out button pad, or just a bad switch. Time for a tech to look at it. If you're feeling froggy, open it up and replace the button pad. Canon will send you another and may not even charge you.

SOURCE: after one frame battery icon flashes ( battery is full charged)

The problem is with the electric contacts between the battery and the camera. You can try cleaning them with a clean pencil eraser. Make sure you don't leave any eraser debris in the battery compartment. It is best to do this while holding the camera so that the battery compartment door is "down" so that any eraser debris will fall out of the door onto the table rather than fall into the compartment.

SOURCE: Battery Fully Charged Camera Won't turn on

Hi

There are several things that could cause this.

1- Check the battery door indicator switch under the battery door and beside the memory card slot. Is the little black switch damaged or missing? Try pressing down gently using a pen it with the door open and then press the power button. Does it turn on?

2- The fuse has blown and needs to be replaced. Offhand I don't recall where it is on the SD600 PCB or how hard it is to solder on a new one (depends on if its tricky to get at or not). Good thing is fuses are really cheap.

3- Other power problem with the PCB due to corrosion or impact damage. The PCB or 'motherboard' of the camera will need to be replaced.

A couple solutions would be to either buy a defective camera online and make one good camera from the two if you can do that sort of thing yourself, or secondly have it repaired by somebody.

Don't bother trying to send the camera to Canon if it is out or warranty (though you can call them and verify what I'm about to say) because they will want $150+ to do the repair for you. Parts are not cheap to buy from them.

I know of one very affordable digital camera repair business... because I own it. The name is Darntoothysam, feel free to check us out, we are on that big auction website also (I don't plug their name for free), our seller ID is 'darntoothysam'. If you Google "darntoothysam" you will find us.

If we can help with your repair then please let us know.

Hope this helps,

Thomas

SOURCE: I can't turn on the camera, even with a fully charged battery.

The battery contacts are like little springs, as the camera gets jostled these can stop making good contact. Open the battery case and try force holding the battery against the contacts (You may need to hold a piece of metal across the bottom of the battery as you push) Then see if the camera comes on.

If it does, you may have to stuff, pull, or rig the battery to fit more securely.

SOURCE: The low battery warning light flashes even when

Some of The Canon Powershot A530 and A540 cameras are subject to an advisory recall. Seems that a small spring on the battery compartment door can short out the batteries. Suspect this of yours, in that you mention that your batteries aren't lasting long. If your camera is on the list, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info:

Nikon s9300 - When I turn it on, the lense fully extends, but the screen stays black. I have to pop the battery out, then put back in for the lense to retract. Battery is fully charged and even tried

When the battery is fully charged, please put it in again. That means, if it is still in, remove it once again.
Switch it on, and even if you don't see a thing try to make a picture.
Then press the display button several times, to see if anything comes on the screen again.
If the camera does not respond after that, you should go back to the dealer, of contact Nikon.

Did you do the Setup when you first started it? by holding the red button and following prompts? (to set up Language, date etc.) - if not try that. if yes, have you tried recharging it? Mine takes about 7 or 8 hours to fully charge (the red light will come on then when fully charged that light goes out) - it appears you have Ultra HD like me, so you should also be able to try some regular AA batteries in place of your rechargeable just to try that. If it works then, it is your rechargeable battery pack - either no good or needs charge. also when plugged into USB that red light should come on on front of the camera and if you look at the screen it should show a battery icon with a lightning bolt over it, shows the battery -how much charged. after 6 or so hours, press your red button and look at the screen - it now should be showing a battery icon that should by now be mostly Green and almost fully charged.
While charging the unit, Flipshare software comes up on your computer, "X" out of that software, so your camera will charge faster. My camera was doing similar things but I've had it a long time, and regular batteries worked, So I ordered a new battery pack and it has been fine since. Good Luck!!!

Camera wont turn on

1. Are you sure the battery is fully charged?
You can charge the battery by connecting the Olympus USB cable to the camera and computer.
Or using the delivered wall charger. When charging the orange LED on the camera should light.
When fully charged, the LED is off.
2. If this does not help you, check if your battery is well seated in the camera.
3. Check if the battery is faulty by replacing it by another one.

My Sony Vaio battery light remains orange

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all.
OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
