How do I connect the VCR to a new Samsung TV

If both the VCR and TV have HDMI connectors its as simple as connecting an HDMI cable from the VCR HDMI output to an HDMI input on the TV.

You can google HDMI connectors if you don't know what it looks like.

Samsung DVD-V3650 DVD Player / VCR Combo no sound when connected via component cable

Component connections between your DVD player and TV (they will be colored red, blue, and green) carry video only. You will need to connect two more cables for left and right audio channels. The connectors for these audio cables will be colored white and red for left and white respectively.

I would like to know how to connect a dvd player through my samsung vcr the inputs in the back i am not familiar with there are two sets of yellow white and red connections with one side for output and...

Connect from dvd OUT to vcr IN
The yellow connecter is video, red is right audio and white is left audio.
You can purchase converter leads (scart to phono(the red/white/yellow connecters) or many other combinations) if needed.
If you have scart connections ( a block of 21 pins) then use that if possible as it will give a better picture.
Connect the dvd out to vcr in and vcr out to the tv in.
NOTE. if you connect this way you will find that the copyright protection will make viewing dvds quite poor quality and may even be black and white or even the picture may "roll"
You may want to buy a scart block to connect more scarts to the tv then it has, also you can get these with different connections.

Samsung 2333HD to dvd/vcr combo

Hi there,

On a DVD/VCR combo unit....the Component Output (RED, GREEN, BLUE) is exclusive to the DVD player section only (VCR can only output analogue source) and will only be able to view DVD.

To watch VCR, you will need to connect to your TV via Composite (YELLOW) cable, into the Yellow AV input on your TV. You can then tune the VCR section to match your TV's RF input (if you prefer this connection).

Good luck...

Tuning VCR into Tv

Set the LCD to TV source and tune the LCD TV channel to 3 or 4.

For best viewing experience, you should connect the LCD TV to the VCR using component / SVideo or RCA cables instead of RF coxial to avoid signal loss. Your VCR manual should indicate these types of connections.
