That sounds bad. Check the oil level first. If that's good, then somebody needs to work on the inside of your engine - maybe you only have a bad oil pump, maybe you have more damage than that.

DO NOT drive it this way - not for ANY distance! Don't even START it.

HOW CAN SERVISE OIL MOTOR PUMP? TYPE OF THE CAR IS GOLF VOLKSWGEN

You can start by checking the motor oil. If it's low put in a couple of quarts. Then if the car starts, assuming you know nothing about cars, take it to the dealer or the closest auto shop and have them do a full oil change on the car. These cars have to have the oil change every 3000 or so miles. If it's out of oil then you are either burning or leaking the oil out and you should get it fixed.

1999 chrysler sebring low oil pressure at idle

It may be the oil pump. If the gauge is going up when the rpms increase it's probably not the gauge or pressure switch. If the computer senses the oil pressure is low it will shut the vehicle off to try to save it's self from catastrophic failure. Also it may start cranking longer before starting. Thats it building oil pressure before the computer will let it start. Make sure oil is full, clean & thick.

Why is showing low oil pressure and stop engine on dash board i have low oil pressure and it reads stop engine

Check your oil. If it is low, top it off and see if the light goes out. If your oil is full, have your oil pressure checked.

I have a 1999 Beetle and When I'm driving My dash beeps like 10 beeps in a row and the inside lights come on but nothing so up on the dash to tell me the problem

Ok, so are you saying NO LIGHTS come on to tell you what issue is on the dash? The beeping you hear is a low oil pressure warning beep. Its telling you that you are either low on oil or that the oil pump is not delivering oil properly to the motor (car is sensing low oil pressure but on these cars there is no oil pressure gauge on dash to look at). Check your oil level and make sure you are not low. Best time is in morning on flat surface start car and let run 5 minutes. Stop car, let sit 5 minutes and then pull dipstick and check level. Also make sure you are using the correct oil and viscosity for this motor. VW's require VW certified oil and a certain viscosity. You can go to www.mobil1.com to find the correct oil available in the states for your vehicle. Too thin or too thick a viscosity could cause similar issue. Otherwise please clarify the light comment as I have never heard of the lights coming on automatically after a beeping noise and I will research.

Car low on oil and motor wont start. It cranks over but wont start. No oil lights have come on on dash board so had no idea it was low on oil;

Some cars, not sure about yours had a switch on the fuel pump, if the oil was low, they wouldn't start. Get the oil back up the re and see what happens. The oil sending switch must be for pressure and not level, it will register 60 lbs pressure with only 1 qt of oil in there, try it, hope it helps.

Getting a "Low Oil Pressure" message on the dash board.."Turn off engine" any ideas of what the problem might be?

Hi. This issue has several causes, but the oil light indicator is a strong sign of low pressure in the engine. This will cause the engine lubrication rate to drop, thus, producing a illuminated oil light, and erratic Oil pressure readings. The necessary actions are to have a manual oil pressure test ran on this engine, asap. When running a manual oil pressure test, you will discover if the true oil pressure is low, or normal. If the test proves that the oil pressure is, indeed, low, this will confirm that the Oil pump is suspect.

Now, if the true readings given during the manual oil pressure test are indicating that the pressure is normal, this will be the result of a failed sending unit(oil pressure switch).

A light has come on in the dash board of my 2001 B4, it looks like a motor or something like that and I don't know what it means

There are 2 icons that resemble an motor: one that has + and -  on it - it's for the battery, it lights up when it's empty, probably caused by an failing alternator - or the oil pressure indicator it lights up when it gets too low - it's time to replace the oil and its filter.

Engine oil light is showing on the dash board after switching on

Most important thing you need to do is to establish the actual oil pressure. put a mechanical gauge on the engine and read real oil pressure. If pressure is low (min is 15psi, I prefer to see at least 20 at idle) there is an internal problem...bearings etc. If pressure is good, sending unit has failed...replace it. I would not drive it 'till the oil pressure is verified as being safe. You might get lucky and someone just forgot to plug in the sending unit, but it must be checked!!!
good luck
