Yes it WILL lift up. Check on the manufacturers web site for the instruction manual for your model.

SOURCE: amana gas range will not heat in "bake" mode.

Find the bake ignitor (you may need to remove bottom drawer or oven cavity floor to get to the ignitor). Turn on the bake. If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor. If the ignitor does not come on - check the voltage on the ignitor, should be the line voltage 110-120v AC. If there is a line voltage on the ignitor and it's not coming on - replace.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

SOURCE: What does F4 mean in

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F4 in your Amana range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you'll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks Rylee

How do i remove top of my amana gas stove

Most range tops for gas appliance can be lifted up by hand.
You may have a set of screws located just under the top just above the oven door. You should open your oven door and look up at the bottom of the range top to see if there are in fact any screws, if so remove them then lift.
If no screws you may need a small flat screwdriver to help lift the top. It does have a couple of snap clips that will hold it firm but they are just to hold it from moving during normal use.
Remember to remove your burner grates first.

Back burners wont light

Remove the back burners top lids and using a good blower jet and a good brush clean up the areas around it. this must allow the mixing of the gas properly. try to light. if this wont solve you will need to open the front flow controller, remove the knob, check from within after opening the top lid for the jet screw, open and clean and use a pin for cleaning. reset the flow controller after checking for gas flow into the flow controller. now set back and the burner should light up. Hope this helps you out. Good day

How do you open the stove lid of a Kenmore 7907138 five burner gas range? I need to clean it.

You need to be careful with sealed burner ranges. If you try to lift the range top you can damage the alluminum gas pipes for the burners under the range top. Check to see if the burner heads lift off. If the burner heads are held on by screws make sure you remove those first. With the heads removed look down into the cooktop thru the hole where the burner sits. Make sure the orfice is not attached to the lid. If they are you may see a screw you can remove. Look for any other screws behind the oven door that may be attached to the lid. Apply light pressure when trying to lift the lid. If you feel any major resistence DO NOT FORCE IT UP. Sears.com also has parts schematics for every range they make and that will visually help with the dis-assembly because you can see how the parts go together. Also MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND TURN OFF THE GAS VALVE BEFORE WORKING ON IT!!!

Amana ARG7300 Oven Door won't go back on

The hinges are not sticking out enough ( tabs have wore down ) to engage the hinges on the door . Push the hinges out with a screwdriver and measure the distance to a screw further up the door and cut two pieces of wood (one for each side ) .push the hinges back out and jam the wood in . It goes in easy and the wood falls out when you put the door to open
