you can charge it from your computer if you have a mini usb cable like one from a camera would work. Also if you have an old cell phone charger that has the mini usb connector on the end will work. The motorola driod x charger would be a perfect match. Alarms are not supposed to shut down the engine while you are driving if it was installed properly. Could be another installed accessory or the car itself has a problem. If it was in anti-hijack mode, you would receive a warning like honking horn. You may have to visit a repair shop and maybe your local Viper dealer to have them take a look.
